Geology for anyone interested
On Tuesday, 29th October, 2013 the conservator of Geology will speak about the Geology department and its secrets. This evening is primarily organised for our museum staff, but admittance will be free for anyone interested as well.

The museum regularly organises evenings to inform the staff of latest developments and to keep up their knowledge about the departments and the objects. This time the department of Geology gets the spotlight. Minerals, semi-precious stones, fossils, soil types, it will all get its moment. There will be special attention for the Brabant soil.

The evening will be held at the museum, Markt 30-A at Oudenbosch, and will commence at 20.00 h. If you wish to attend, please e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or phone 0031-165-315743.

An Exposition of Indian Art in the Museum of Natural History and Ethnology
During September and October, 2013, the museum shows an exposition of the work of the artist Neelam Kumari. A number of paintings deriving from the cultures of India are shown under the title of "Indian Heritage".

The artist was born in India, and is now living at Oudenbosch. Her works are true gems of Indian culture. With her own personal touch she reveals this in a very special way. In her paintings she tries to draw our attention to the fascinating aspects of Indian culture.
