Discover Rocks, Minerals and Fossils that Reveal Earth’s Past
The Geology department features an extensive, educational exhibition about rock formation and erosion. Additionally, there is focus on regional geology. There are separate display cases with minerals, including a display case with minerals that change color under striking UV light.
Those interested in fossils can indulge themselves with the exhibited Cretaceous fossils from Cap de Blanc Nez. There are also Pleistocene mammal fossils on display, originating from the North Sea floor, such as mammoth teeth.
